We stumbled upon this delightful place last minute while searching for dinner. We were thoroughly impressed by everything from the drinks to the food to the service. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return in the future!
This place was an absolute winner that we stumbled upon. We had initially chosen another place for a group of 10 but some in our group liked the vibe here better and we are grateful they did. Our server was fantastic and his recommendations of the specials were on point. I may have had the best halibut dish of my life and every other person who dined here as a part of our group enjoyed their meal. Definitely would recommend.
I had a fantastic experience at this bar and grill! I ordered the wings, and while they might seem like typical bar food, these were seriously delicious. They were perfectly crispy with a glazed sauce that had just the right amount of kick. They came with a generous portion of blue cheese and crisp celery sticks. The service was top-notch. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about Napa. He gave me some great recommendations for local wineries and even suggested a fantastic [beer/wine] that I ended up loving. The atmosphere was upscale but still relaxed, with a really cool old-school vibe. I loved the black and white photos lining the walls, they looked like they were from the 1920s and really added to the ambiance. I can't wait to come back here again - highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and service in a sophisticated setting!
8/16/25 Napkins Bar & Grill 1001 2nd St Ste 112 Napa, CA 94559 We stopped in for lunch on Saturday while on a road trip to Napa. There is a city parking structure about a block away. It's across the street from the river. It's a classy, well appointed bar and dining setup. Service was prompt and fast. I had the Brisket Sandwich with fries and Wifey had the special Pasta which consisted of beef, wide pasta noodles in a light sauce. My shredded brisket was tender but not very flavorful, the shoestring fries however were excellent. The pasta was okay. It was okay and value likewise. It's worth a stop if in the area and maybe repeatable.
Our meal was very good. The Crab Cakes were moist and flavorful. The Pesto Caprese Puff Pastry and Cabernet Braised Short Ribs were mouth watering. Be sure to try the Cornbread! We had no room for dessert.
We walked in around 5pm on a Friday night and it was not crowded compared to Saturday. We ordered the short ribs and steak which were both very tasty! Service was superb with our waiter constantly checking on us to refill our water cups and anything else we needed throughout our meal. I really enjoyed my dining experience at Napkins.
We had such a wonderful dinner here the other night and enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The outside patio was really nice. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Citrus Habanero Organic Chicken. It was flavorful, tender, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. The veggies were also excellent, fresh, and cooked to perfection. We also tried the ribeye which was sooo good and the cheesy garlic bread. We decided to try the mac and cheese, but it turned out to be a bit too oily for our taste, so we’ll probably skip that one next time. That said, everything else we ordered was absolutely fantastic, and we left feeling very satisfied. Overall, it was a great evening with delicious food, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again soon.
Loved the food, the lights and decoration, the service! The only thing is that we froze! We sat inside as the place is so beautiful, but the air conditioning was so strong that we were cold. Still the place is great! And don’t miss the decadent chocolate cake without flour. It was exquisite!
